Dear jamifecher....The statements made do not represent the belief of just one theology. They are statements we hear from several different resources and are used as examples. I would never interpret this as one belief system but of several that would challenge the faith of Christians.

@jamifecher Additionally, it is a theo-political statement being made: that is, Christianity challenges the notions of normative institutions like social Darwinism and blood-thirsty capitalism (i.e. Compassion is stronger than power, might does not make right, etc.).

@jamifecher I am not sure it is a fair interpretation to say that this video is putting words into the mouths of neo-gnostics. Rather I think the video is just making theological claims-i.e. Because of the empty tomb, the oppressive Roman system did not have the final word. Rome fell; Christianity hasn't. Furthermore, the video is not an engagement in a theistic/agnostic debate. This is not a cosmological video. It is a video that simply says, according to Xty, despair can be defeated by hope.

This is clever but weak. It preaches to the converted in a way that demeans the thoughts of many thinking "unconverted" and reinforces a subtle smugness among the converted. Very few "unconverted" I know would support the blanket statements like, might makes right, power is superior to compassion etc... I know no neo-gnostics who would support such statements. They would support the shallow statement that faith is a perspective. Did Jesus die & rise to give me a new perspective?

Shades of CHRIST & CULTURE !?

I found myself saying "Oh, but it is!" in a silent response to each statement in this video. What a beautiful message if anyone who sees it and is not a believer will just pay attention to the reality the words bring to us. The empty tomb brings everything to everyone who will heed the Word.
