Me, demoing my Bogner Shiva reverb head amplifier - The power tubes are EL34`s with a Bogner 4*12 cabinet and some pedals in front of it - Paul Cochrane Tim pedal, ZVex Box of Rock, Sweet sound Mojo Vibe. I play with a Fender Vintage Hot Rod 62 Startocaster with Lindy Fralin pickups and Fender Vintage Hot Rod 52 Telecaster. The sound was recorded with a a SM57 and a Audio Technica AT4050ASM microphone to Pro Tools 002 DigiRack. No audio editing or EQ was done, only film editing.

  • Best demo for EL34 Shiva heard so far!!...even so good that I've noticed some fever is rising its head for getting one of these to accompany my current ones (Suhr Badger 30 and Orange Rockerverb). You're having some high quality in both playing and AE (recording) sectors. Nice work! I wonder have you happened to have a change to compare Shiva with the newer Bogner Goldfinger amps (6V6 or EL34)? Just curious about the tonal differences between thes two, but not yet found good comments..

  • @jlaine3 Thanks for your comment. Happy to hear you liked the video. As for comparing with the Goldfinger, I haven`t had the opportunity to try that one. But from the videos I have seen it is a great and versatile amp. But, I do love the Shiva!!! :) Greetings from Portugal, Francisco Abreu.

  • Nicely played. How does the amp response to your adjusting the guitar's volume knob?

  • @BoogieEngineer Thanks Boogie. It works great, cleans up well without loosing tone or top frequences.

  • Excellent interactive demo! Really diggin' the pedalboard and Shiva. What kind on Lindy Fralins did you install?

  • @kerrytheman Thanks man! These are blues specials, Lindy Fralin pickups. Love this set on my strat!!!

  • This is one of the best sounding demo videos I've heard yet. You really have your mics figured out. The amp and effects sounds are really nice too. I have a different style but I really like your clean and rockin' blues sound. Right now I am trying to find the sound that best matches my style. Thanks for posting this great sounding video.

  • Nice job!! Shiva is a great amp. What is the riff you are playing at 5:58??

  • Great job. Proper recording makes all the difference.

  • @aubreywithoutYou Thanks. Yes, the Shiva has a great master volume, but I was playing loud any way :).

  • How did you do this?? isn't the Shiva very very loud? Or, is it your mastervolume? it sounds wonderful!
