Of course underneath is a word - it means that an object is under something else e.g. The book was underneath the shelf rather than The book was under the shelf.

@InevitableDarkFlame What on Earth are you talking about? 'Underneath' is an extremely basic and widely used word. How could anyone not know what it meant? I learnt that in Primary school! I simply linked you to the dictionary to show you that the word does exist.

HA! See you didn't even know what that word meant! You had to rely on the dictionary.If I wanted to know what it meant I would have looked it up my self. Popper English does not use that word. But we all use different words. Especially you and I. So lets leave it at that.
