  • I'd take a Tesla over any car made today! I can't wait until electric is the new norm.

  • That was awesome. Not seen a roadster driven like that before.

  • quiet racing is boring... compare it to this watch?v=kEOKck7WWvU. I don't want to have future where all racing videos will have to use soundtrack to fill the emptyness

  • Tesla is going to have a recycle program for the batteries. There was also talk of solar options coming. I Love these cars. Soon it will sink in that you cant do better than this.

  • nice plane ;)

  • and most important.....no accident.

  • @tripleheshy Why "so called"? Do you think regular cars running on gas are made out of thin air? Do you think there is no polution when making those? You see, you must compare, not just say this is bad and wrong. It certainly is but it's getting better with these new cars. And electricity? There are many options to use renewable energy. Some countries use it a lot, some don't, but that's not problem of electric car. Why do you think most of the world invested in electric trains, subway, trams?

  • @tripleheshy Look at the recycling rate of usual car batteries: More than 97 percent of all battery lead is recycled. The typical new lead-acid battery contains 60 to 80 percent recycled lead and plastic. So why they can't do the same with these new batteries? I know very well that mining can be devastating to the nature, that's why recycling and reusing should be promoted. It's not that hard and soon it will be essential to human existence on this planet.

  • @Vlakpage Keep in mind what's used to produce the electricity that's powering these so called "eco friendly" cars. How do you suggest we recycle those batteries?? There not exactly friendly to our water supply. I endeavor you to take a look at the world's largest nickel mine in northern Ontario. Easily one of the world's most polluted places that will never again be habitat for human or animal alike. It's also where Toyota buys more than two tonnes of the stuff to make their Prius.

  • @Octamed I'm not saying don't make them as everything has it's place all I'm saying is the heavy handed, authoritarian guilt tactics used to clobber people over the head about gas engines is dangerous and quite arrogant to me. Strange loyalty to you is an absolute love affair to me. Listen to a 911 GT3 at full song or a Corvette that's been cammed with headers and that sound in itself is auditory heroin IMO. If it's not to you that's more than OK with me.

  • @tripleheshy even if that is true, why not make awesome electric cars like this? I really don't understand this strange loyalty to combustion engines. It also makes me feel ill hearing stories about how obscenely rich the oil countries are for doing nothing.

  • @tripleheshy Not now but very soon. Just like you said we won't run out of it, it will just get too expensive. But the consequence will be the same: there won't be enough for practical use. So it's good to see some progress for the alternative. Right now it's too expensive for regular folks, only enthusiasts are interested (like sam24343). Nothing wrong about that. The technology progress is very fast, economy of scale helps too, so it won't take long for electric power to overtake combustion.
