The 401 is the busiest freeway in North America, with 431,900 cars using parts of it everyday. It's also the longest freeway in Ontario, stretching from Windsor to the Quebec border near Cornwall (close to 825 km).

Watch as we navigate through Canada's biggest city, Toronto, on the 401. We start at exit 328, just before the 407 in Milton, and end just before the east end of Oshawa.

Enjoy! :)

  • And was 2:00 downtown, or at least part of it? :)

  • @tall32guy I use a GoPro Hero. And no, that's part of Scarborough. Toronto's downtown can't be seen in this video. It's off to the right. If you looked at a map of the 401 through Toronto, you would see what I mean. Thanks for watching :)

  • Very cool. This would be more enjoyable if it was slowed down considerably (like 3x longer than it is now) as you cover a lot of distance with many interesting features.

  • @haljackey I understand where you're coming from. However I think most people would get bored...

  • Great vid. Wondering where you have been at. Not too many rail vids lately.

  • @JayJr2007 Yeah, I have lots to upload... Just being lazy. I might upload a train video today lol

  • @tall32guy Nah, that's at McCowan Rd. in Scarborough.

  • @LondonUnderground186 That is definitely amazing.

I used to live in the Halifax, Nova Scotia. From my experience living in the Halifax area, Nova Scotia Highway 111, a partial ring road surrounding the former City of Dartmouth, has up to twelve lanes, and could be just as dangerous as Ontario Highway 401.

  • Ontario Highway 401 almost reminds me of Nova Scotia Highway 102, which connects Truro to Halifax and Southern Nova Scotia, as both are known for having very heavy traffic volumes as well as crazy driving conditions.

  • Great video: smooth. Fastest trip from Milton to Oshawa: I could only dream. (wink)

  • that was awesome because driving through it in regular motion is too long and shitty

  • 16 lanes in Toronto! Amazing!

  • What kind of cam did you use to film this?

  • excellent video!! I seriously miss Windsor (high school) and Toronto (UofT).
