(They stole my awesome music so I was forced to use classical... It's highly inappropriate, but kinda funny too, so I ran with it! I actually kinda like it! xD)We took 2nd place and $100 at the Rough Cut Cowboy Race in Mt. Pleasant, NC, all in english attire! (I was the only one to ride in an english saddle!)

I love my dressage saddle for everything, but for western I got a reining saddle...close cut with minimal skirting.

You could probably do these in an Aussie saddle too, and depending on the style, those don't have a horn either; they are really comfy too!!! :)

it doesnt matter. i ride both and you can wear a cowboy hat while riding english and u can wear a helmet riding western.

haha thanks! I only wish I could do all the races in english attire...there's so much jumping that it really helps to NOT have a horn, plus I really prefer being able to feel the horse under there! xD

heck yes!! xD Too bad they made western wear a requirement after this one... >:/ I prefer my english saddle to western any day. It's so weird to ride in a saddle where you can't get your leg right on the horse!!
