The bit about the trophies wasn't there when I checked. Also, the skull Scar uses as a puppet looks like a baboon skull, not a lion skull (check Google images).

@Thatswhatshesaid446 TV Tropes talked about it on its Fridge Horror article. Disney films tend to have little Easter eggs like this, as in when Gaston falls t o his death in Beauty & the Beast you can see skulls in his eyes if you freeze the frame.

Did any of yous know that the ribcage Zazu's trapped in and the skull Scar plays with both belong to Mufasa? After murdering Mufasa and assuming Simba to be dead, Scar let the hyenas eat Mufasa's corpse, then he took his skull and ribs as trophies.
