Step-by-step Description Below

Steps:

1. Remove square, black stickers covering 2 screws and unscrew.
2. Pry plastic front from the back; it is held together with small clips along the edge and remove.
3. Unscrew 4 screws along front edge of LCD.
4. Pull LCD forward and unstick wire from back of LCD.
5. Pull up front of sticker connected to the LCD connector, careful not to lift the full sticker covering entire LCD connection board.
6. Pull the connection down from the back gently until seperated.
7. Unscrew 4 screws along outer edge of screen to detach it from metal harness.
8. Replace with new LCD and screw on outer harness.
9. Connect LCD connector into the male receiver until cleanly fit; you can hear a slight click when done correctly.
10. Press LCD against back wall and insert the 4 securing screws.
11. Clip-on front plastic until secure.
12. Insert final 2 screws on bottom of LCD and cover with sticker-coverings.
13. Attach battery and turn on the computer to check the LCD display.

Common problems:

If the LCD color is off or not coming on at all, repeat steps 1 - 7 making sure that the connection between the cable and the LCD board is secure with no obstructed or pinched wires.

If final 2 screws don't insert comfortably, repeat steps 1 - 3 and make sure the screws are in the correct location and completely tightened.

If there are any other problems, stop, breathe, and rewind. If all else fails, google has the answers.

  • It's no fake,. I tried it and it works exactly as shown.

Not demonstating how to reconnect the vid cable is not the problem.

It was more necessary to see how to remove it and that is done in the video

    Very good work.

PS: the time about 9 minutes is aslo not a fake !

  • The kid NEVER reconnected the ribbon cable to the screen...or at least he thought that this step was not very important to see...

  • Fake!!!
