There is no inversion in reported questions. There is no question mark either and is no 'do'/'did'. Again, reported questions 'go back one tense:

Where have you been? - I asked her where she had been.

We use 'if' to report a yes/no question (we can also use 'whether'):

Do you know what time it is? - I asked her if she knew what time it was.
