This is a Norwegian song my Grandma is singing to Amalia (it is actually pronounced "rita rita ranka"). I found a similar song here with translation, but it's not exactly the same. http://annbogle.blogspot.com/2006/01/rida-rida-ranka.html
My family has sung this, or a least a VERY similar version of this for generations, but I did not know where it came from. Could you provide a written version of what your Grandmother says in the rhyme? I am really curious to see it written out. I have seen the other versions, similar to your link above, but what your Grandmother recites is the most similar to what my grandmother recited, as well. Thank you.
When I was like 3, my Grandma would sing this to me all the time!
