Wayne Shorter (Sax), Tom Brechtlein (Drums), Mitchel Forman (Keys), Gary Willis (E-Bass). Most Intense Piece (Ever!) of Wayne Shorter Quartet... Beautifull Buid-Up... Notice how Gary looses his bass amplification for a While.

  • no offense but the new quartet is everything intensity can be

  • I wouldn't exactly identify this as the "most intense piece ever" but it is an incredibly great example of band interaction.

I think my favorite "most intense piece ever" on youtube is the John Coltrane version of My Favorite Things that is 7 minutes long. No Dolphy in that one.

  • Wow, Gary without a cap AND hair! :) killin bassist and composer!

  • I love this live version, Gary Willis and Tom Brechtlein kill it!!!! And of course Mr. Shorter, as always, excellent.

  • I guess one man's Intensity is another's I-Can-Do-That.

  • Far from being intense...got us to look though! Does build in intensity of course... Nice song....kind of mellow actually.

  • @MagicRain505 right...not ever. Coltrane still holds a lot of those titles in my opinion as well...

  • @MagicRain505 no dolphee? Can't lack no dohl-phee!!!

  • "Plaza Real" - "foot prints"

  • most intense piece ever? are you serious? :)

  • ooo throwin in some footprints i see
