1999 Volvo S80 T6 Transmission fluid, filter,gasket change.

My 99 S80 T6 with 164,000Kmiles or 260,000Km.
I am changing the the fluid, filter and pan gasket in the transmission.

It is a GM (4T65E-GT) Transmission which requires Dexron 6.

I have used:
Mobil1 Dexron 6 15L
Volvo filter
Volvo pan gasket.

I got my S80 with 120K miles too and the tranny fluid was really dark.

I did replace the fluid and filter immediately after I bought the s80.

This video is the second transmission fluid and filter change after 60K miles.

I recommend do it every 40K miles if you are planning on keeping the Volvo for long like I do.

The first owner did the maintance in Volvo dealer until 120000 miles.

Hi. How many miles do you recommend to change the ATF? My 2002 V40 has a 130000 milage. I am the second owner and suppose that the first owner did not change the ATF. Is that OK for me to change the ATF recently? It is not very smoothin accerleration, but not that bad for this old car. Thanks for any help.
