while i agree with the gist of the narrative, i wonder if it's over-symplified. the night wiki released its diplomatic cables, bzrezinski, in a PBS interview, said assange was the unwitting tool of a foreign power. i think he was referring to the pro-israeli PNAC neo-cons, who use wiki to bludgeon the bzrezinski neo-lib white house.
it's a policy tussle. the neo-cons want to "secure the realm", i.e. consolidate israeli power in the ME vs the bzrezinski neo-libs thrust against moscow and beijing.
