THANK GOD SHE WILL NOT BE EPONINE!! honestly, it would of ruined the whole movie for me. She's good at singing RADIO music and nothing else, she doesn't have the vocal capabilities, range or technique to pull off even a DECENT Eponine. I think she, herself (Taylor Swift) realized this role is wayyyyyyyy out of her league.

Eponine is my favorite character in the musical "Les Miserables and I can't imagine Taylor Swift singing "On My Own". I like her songs "A Place in this World" and "The Best Day". But if she could only sing like Frances Ruffelle or Lea Salonga, she would be fitted for the role. But she is not. Samantha Barks is the one who can play it well. I think Taylor would just make a fool of herself is she play Eponine. I'm a fan of Taylor Swift, but I'm also a Les Mis fanatic.

@wwwino I agree. I love Taylor, I've got all her albums and have seen her on tour, but I'm much more relaxed knowing Samantha Barks has the role. It's a role she's familiar with and is much respected for her potrayal of it at the 25th Anniversary Concert, the Royal Variety Show and in the West End (which I was lucky enough to see).

She may have been the underdog against these "hollywood stars" but in the end she was the obvious choice and I'm thrilled for her.

Despite being a Taylor Swift fan I´m really really REALLY happy she didn´t get it. I mean, seriously, a pop star in a musical just to get more attention or something?! That's plain ridiculous. For all the "Swifties" now yelling at me for being a fake fan - I'm also a musical theatre freak and I know Taylor can't do Eponine, so I'm being honest. YAY SAMANTHA BARKS ;DDD
