This latest ad from IDEA highlights the power of Mobile telephony to address the socially relevant theme of education. The thought-provoking ad campaign has Abhishek Bachchan playing the head of an educational institution. When challenged by the traditional, physically bound classroom methodology that prevents reaching out to many more who are in need of education, he uses mobile telephony to overcome the barrier.

  • @sidrahsiddiqui using emotions to market product

they just advertised their mobile and nothing else

    SAD and immoral

  • Great add! Let our adds give good morals not filth!

  • Such branding of companies that pretend giving a social message, but in the end work for capturing people's attention and benefit for them, is actually taking away the attention from the need of the society.

And is it possible to have tele-education? How many people had taken an initiative after watching this ad of educating children from the villages in this manner?

  • @vinaypuri Not only pay this family a lot of money, but also stop making merely ads, and do something.

  • I wonder if the Bachhans have done anything to improve education for the poor in real life. Making a dumb ad with an impractical solution to solving India's educational problems is easy...

  • @asadtirmizi Enrollment rates have gone up. Almost every child goes to school. But retention rates are still very low... only a small fraction complete school. Also, the quality of teaching in rural areas sucks. Teachers are absent or drinking tea instead of teaching. India has a huge educational problem...

  • education shd be free................

  • In pakistan we generally get an idea that education is now pretty well spread in India. What is the actual situation? Politics aside, but educating around 400 million is a big task for any govt.

  • I thought this ad was advocating for building " A LOT OF SCHOOLS FOR ALL THE CHILDREN IN INDIA" but it was just a "BOLLYHOOD" fantasy story. Million of children are suffering, and the movie stars and businessmen are making money out of it. IT IS A SHAME.

  • No coments...... What an IDEA
