@kendent1962: I listened to that station A LOT when I attended Goucher as a freshman and my first semester as a sophomore from mid-1993 until the beginning of 1995. I'm from Tampa.

Does anyone out there remember Painter's Mill Music Fair? What a great venue that was. Saw CTS there when I was in high school. Like many have already said...best band you've never heard.

@Jesterstone You can get info and merchandise (mostly newer CDs) from their website at crackthesky (dot) com. They'll be playing at Sellersville, PA on July 9, 2011 (about 2 - 2.5 hours drive from Baltimore).

OF COURSE, I remember the great Hammerjacks! I saw so many rock and metal bands there. People are right...NOTHING since has come close to replacing it. The hip-hop and rap garbage really put a hurtin' on rock culture in the United States. What a shame. This song totally kicks ass. I still do my best to promote rock and heavy metal whenever I meet people,ESPECIALLY young people. Radio stations pretty much suck when it comes to promoting quality rock & metal. Sorry 98 Rock, that includes you guys.

@MrKLUKE I totally agree. Unfortunately, any attempt to resurrect Hammerjacks or something similar will probably fail. Today's youth are too far trained to like rap/hip-hop that anything related to Rock/Metal seems ancient to them. And people who remember the original Hammerjacks, like myself, are probably too old now to frequent any replacement nightclub enough for it to be profitable. Sad But True.
And I haven't listened to 98 Rock for quite some time now.
