Great find! I've driven that stretch of I-70 dozens and dozens of times in the past 17 years and I think I've seen a train actually on the move only once on that entire stretch. Otherwise, it's just the stored cars.
For a long time I thought it was abandoned as some of the searchlight signal heads are turned away (i.e. at Genoa) but the old crossing signals still appeared to be in-use. Never seen any of them activated though.

I've been watching your videos for the last couple days and am fascinated. How do you know where the drifts are, and when the plow is coming through?
