The Wainrights In Colour

A fascinating and unique exhibition by Andy Beck.

Andy has spent the past three years producing watercolour sketches of every view which A.Wainwright depicted in his Seven Pictorial Guides to the Lakeland Fells. With careful research Andy has visited each location and from his own photographs produced images of each and every scene as it is today. Not only hours of painting but hours and miles of fell-walking have enabled Andy to put together this collection of work which gives an insight into the changes of the landscape over the intervening years since the guides were produced. This exhibition of the completed 214 fells is a must-see for all lovers of the Lake District Fells and the work of A.Wainwright.
