I have never poured my Sierra Nevada Torpedo in a glass. Always drank them from the bottle. Are random contents remnants suppose to be floating in my beer?

  • The answer is yes. I take it you are not familiar with IPA style ales? The "sediment" floating in the glass is a result of an unfiltered ale with a layer of yeast in the bottle. This is known as "bottle conditioning" where fermentation and carbonation occur naturally within the bottle. This is completely normal and typical of an IPA and also unfiltered wheat beers. It is harmless so don't worry. Enjoy your IPA!
