Wanted to do something a little different for the first vid of the new year so took me a few days but came up with this.

Hopefully all you guys waiting for a new Irish vid from me will be happy, sorry I don't talk about much, hopefully i might get a few more in this year than last.... was thinking when i go on holiday to the Philippines might try make an Irish vid there and see what happens, haha.

ALSO, if you want to hear more people talk Irish here's a few who sound more natural than me.

Chances are you've come across Jesjes1 before but if not click here:
http://www.youtube.com/jesjes1

And just found this guy and he is awesome, way better than me and certainly deserves your views, so go check out Scott aka Londonirish88 also
http://www.youtube.com/londonirish88

If you want to see Irish being taught in a classroom setting this guy is really great

And this guy I know Victor aka Syrop26 who moved to Ireland and started to learn the language has done a few vids in Irish. He used to have more, but took them down as he wasn't happy with them, hopefully he'll do some new ones soon

This channel has some clips of a BB style show in Irish.

If you know any other people who make videos in Irish, let me know.

EDIT:
Wow, ok so this video somehow got featured on Youtube Ireland... I think an editor pressed the wrong button or something.

In case people are wondering, as I'm sure it will be asked sooner or later, I learned Irish in Primary School, I went to a "Gael Scoil" (Irish School) for primary where everything was done in Irish (except English of course) so learning it from age 4 made it easier.... but since I haven't used it in many years i've lost a lot, I used to be much better than what you hear in my vids... i swear :p

Oh and a "Yolog" is another (more correct i think) shorten of "Video Log" instead of "Vlog".
"Yolog" was coined by AngryAussie
As explained in this video

  • My Nationality? *looks at borth cert* Oh what do you know I'm IRISH *checks residental record* Lived in Ireland SINCE BIRTH

Perhaps you shouldn't be jumping to conclusions

    :P

And I know my accent isn't the strongest of accents (and has a tendency to change by itself) but it certainly isn't asian.

  • I think that a bunch of you need to step back and ask yourself what matters more to you... "Gaeilge cliste" or a dead language.

I'm learning the language too, but people like you make it way harder to get up the confidence to try using it.

I give this guy lots of credit. He's young- he'll probably be spinning circles around you bogheads in a few years.

  • I wish I could learn Gaelic. Very neat language and I hope it stays around for a long time. My ancestors on my mom's side were from Ireland. I wouldn't want to see it disappear.

  • Maith thú, físeán iontach.. Labhair í agus mairfidh sí go deo

  • Maith thú gas! Caithfear a rá go bfhuil tú ag déanamh jab thar chinn le sin. Cá bfhuil tú i d'chónaí? Cén chaoi go bfhuil tú ag eiridh le na chainiúntí éagsúla? Ná bach leis an ngrammadach seafóideach, ní bhaineann éinne úsáid as as Béarla so cén fáth gur dhéanann sé aon difríocht as Gaeilge ach oiread!

  • Lean ort a stór!

  • @MrSnozberry What is a good reasone to learn the Irish language?
