English Beat: "Save It For Later"

This melody is so warm. catchy and all that. the way they recycle-- promises more- but never delivers. it is teasing but the lyrics and voices make up for it.
this is a classic on par with the great baroques!

Ahh the music and era when good music was on the airwaves, not the bubblegum pop,rap crap and other villeness on the airwaves today...

To the guitarists out there: I just saw English Beat play live and was amazed to see that Dave Wakeling, though he plays left-handed, plays a guitar that is strung right-handed. So instead of EADGBE his is EGBDAE. I was transfixed watching him play like this. Kinda explains one reason why that sound was so unique.

I saw them two nights ago in Pittsburgh.. were you at that show? I was JUST thinking about how unique that guitar sound is... I want to play this song... badly.

Nope, the night before, in Akron. Also I mistyped his string lineup. It should read eBGdae, not eGBdae. He's obviously self-taught; they don't write chords for that lol.

Best pop song of the eighties.  Hands down.

One of the best of the 80's but there where other great bands too
