  • i have just bought an ex race horse i8 was just wondering if you could help me with a problem when i ride her ir i slap th reins aganst her neck she takes off how do i fix this?

  • Don't slap the reins on the neck then Moonie. The engine is in the back anyways. Slapping necks I find confuses Horses. regards

  • Lovely video. I did this with my green mare yesterday. With 1 rein contact she spun around in circles so fast I got dizzy! Good news. She was only like that for about 2 minutes total each direction before she figured out that contact on the rein meant stop and flex. Thank you!

  • Well done and the amount they spin is directly related to the lack of quality of the lateral mouth. Regards

  • HI John

I think your videos are great.

Just wanted to know how much time would you spend on each session.

  • no longer than that Anrose. Just a matter of habit and the job is done.

  • I have a two year old absolutely terrified of a blue tarp. Do you have any suggestions to get him over it. thanks

  • Sir. You are an absolute artist. This vid was a goose-bump inducing joy to watch.

Speaking as a lifelong English rider who is about to try Western style, your lessons are invaluable.

Bet you wish you could come and watch - guaranteed to laugh your head off!

  • Wow I've never seen a tail trimmed like that lol.

  • this worked so well on my little boy, he stops the second i say whoa now and gets relaxed when i give him his head *once he's stopped of course* I ca get him to stand even while my english friend has her horse lope circles around me ^^ thanks so much for these podcasts ^^

  • It's the only thing, that really works. I tried the backing up method on a ottb for ages, but it wouldn't do. I tried this one and he got it right within one day.

  • hey im an english rider but my engish pony dose cutting reining and campdraft but i use her more for jumping lol

  • excellent!!!

cant wait to try this on my 4yo thoroughbred mare thisafternoon!!!
