just to clear up no Ark Royal is not the flag ship of the Royal Navy it is the flag ship of the fleet.
Victory is the flag ship of the Royal Navy.

@deadkennedy00 a navy cannot consist of aircraft carriers all they have on them is aircraft you in away are saying if there were 100 destroyers versus 100 aircraft carrierrs you would win i would reconsider your answer as i would put my money on the destroyers ohh wate you dont have 100 aircraft carriers so ummmmmmm.
pritty sure the destroyers would win all the carriers have on them are big miniguns to shoot down aircraft and land to sea missles destroyers:cannons to rip your hull in 2.

I remember doing a RAS (replenishment at sea) with Ark Royal back in 1988, we were doing 28 knots alongside her as she was launching aircraft. I had just come off watch in the Boiler room of our ship (Kiwi Leander class frigate) and got to watch a fair bit from our Helo flight deck area. Usually we broke away from the ship supplying us but in this case it was Ark Royal that broke away from us. Was awesome to see a ship of that size moving at speed, wish video Camera's were so cheap back then
