CREW Exexcutive Director Melanie Sloan goes on CNN to discuss CREW's new report: "Family Affair." The report details members of congress who pay their relatives using their campaign funds.
Reporting on the lucrative closed door contracts awarded to halliburton to the direct benefit of dick cheney and everyone he knows should be continuous and unending like anna nicole or paris - but is it? its far more important that treasury posts given to most trusted people for INANE PITTANCES when compared to the cost of this imperialist attack on the sovereignty of a muslim nation under false pretense and illegally chosen actions. CNN isnt a leader, neocon puppet media.
This is such crap. So what if you hire a family member! It's a CAMPAIGN!! If they had hired family members to be vice president....ok, that's a story worth investigating, but for unning your campaign??? CrappyNewsNetwork at it again. They have ZERO integrity! Report the news assholes!!!
This is a none story!!! If the family is qualified to do the job, they showed be paided. In Ron Paul's case doesn't expect taxpayers dollars so it all from donations and divided over three election cycles....what is that 3 to 6 years?
They compiled the amount from THREE elections to make it sound like more money. Kind of a cheap way to attack Republicans if you ask me. That means these amounts were paid out over 5 or 6 years. It's a below average paying full time job when you look at it that way.
This is CNN's lame and desperate attempt to dig up dirt on Ron Paul, and it's a telltale sign that the insipid elite will try anything to defame a noble and honorable statesman. Ron Paul is the ONLY Republican presidential candidate that primarily solicits campaign contributions from individuals, and refuses the big money from powerful special interest groups and lobbyists. Instead of trying to slander a good person, CNN should look into how Rudy Giuliani gets his daddy warbucks.
I blame CNN for unfairly highlighting Ron Paul in this. I read the CREW report that the story was based on, and all Ron Paul did was hire a family member to be the treasurer of his campaign... A position that requires a great deal of TRUST. And remember that NO PUBLIC (TAX) MONEY went to pay any of his family members, only private campaign contributions were used.
Exactly. That's like $30k or so a year. WHO CARES!?!
