First No retreat was the best, then all of a sudden he ends up in the jungle with guns and death mathces. Ridiculous... And where was Bruce Lee's ghost in the follow ups?

thes NRNS series isn´t just a movie serie, its alive, real, individual. It has charakter-attributes like a real person. In every part the same Cameratype, same "Energie", same fightingstyle and the charakters are so similar but also differnt.
The series has his own specialfigting-moves like when someone get kicked or punched this one makes a Pirouette through the air or that "specialkick" wich makes Billy at 0:55, loren and the ather makes too

I believe 'Superfights' is also good to watch if you like the NRNS series. Also 'Bloodmoon'.
