Probably not much better than anything else holds up to a semi.

@HorsleyLandy88 Not calling out either of you: but to find time gap between you and car infront, pic a focal point, and when the car infront of you passes it, count until you pass it.

What is the saying? As thick as a plank lol!
-
That is an antenna of a remote control car.
-
I used to drive short distances with oars and fishing rods stuck out of the sunroof, but they only stuck up a foot or so, this is insane

@HorsleyLandy88 Aye that looked like 30 feet. ( old rule being 10ft for every 10mph)
-
Lookout for powerlines above!!
This is not a smart thing to do with a plank and a Smart Car.
-
I'm confused!? Which one is the bigger plank, The driver, or the thing poking out the top?
-

Um, you're only driving about ONE second behind the car, when a TWO second gap is the agreed safety margin. Add a plank of wood out the top and you're nearly as much of a joker as the smart car driver... Don't slag me off, I'm right if you look in the highway code etc.

In a 30 mph area I had allowed ample stopping distance between me and the car infront.
Dont know how you measure 1 second, but days days must fly by with your poor time keeping skills!
