@epcotcentre i'm not familiar with these services. i just get the one that goes via gainsborough and saxilby. often just to go to gainsborough. don't know what number it is. just get on it haha. i love train journeys, used to longer ones from doncaster to inverness and back but the local ones are my favourite.

they run 158's from lincoln to grimsby? is this in addition to the 156's?

I appreciate that. Very often railway enthusiasts are a boring lot and only seem to be interested in numbers (slightly worrying). I don't fall into that category. I enjoy the journeys and the trains but do not get obsessive about any of it.

To clarify this further: it was a 158 from Lincoln to Grimsby and then a 185 Transpennine unit to Doncaster.
