Kathy Griffin - Don't Ask, Don't Tell part 2

This is the second part of a 15-minute or so talk given by Kathy Griffin in Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC on March 18, 2010. The subject was repealing the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" rule that governs gays in the military. I think Kathy is on the side of the angels with this one -- anyone who wants to serve his or her country and is healthy enough to serve, should be allowed to serve with honor. (FWIW, I am a US Army veteran with an honorable discharge.)

The talk was too long to be uploaded as one program, so I broke it up into two parts. She spoke a little more after the soldier spoke, but this is most of her speech.

Unfortunately, my camera had a hard time focusing properly -- sorry about that. I couldn't really see the focus problem in the viewfinder but eventually I zoomed out a bit, which made the problem go away.

I saw her show on this segment and wondered if anyone was there to record it in their POV and upload it on youtube. This is awesome! You did just fine and I really enjoyed watching it. My heart still goes out to every men and women that sacrifices and more so to those who had to live in shame. I'm proud that the DADT was finally been over turned! Now, we all have to work harder for marriage equality!

This law is not only preventing us from our benefits and salary or even first notification in the case of a death, but it implements shame and fear. Thanks again for uploading this video.
