@thedabaraHPL I agree. I think Mr. White has done a great job of creating music. Bravo!

@drhoobad in this class compare more strongly with your work. Sorry to drone on. This is just really cool! Oh!! And, before I leave you in peace, was the score you made for the Hunchback done live, or did you use software? There was something about it that made me think you used a sampler (the harp and drums, particularly). Thanks! I'll check out your webpage soon.

@drhoobad given the widespread embrace of various annoying experimental musicians and the whole idea of "minimalist" music. Are you influenced at all by Holst? I find similarities in the subdued use of dissonance, the wide range of instrumentation, and the favoring of woodwinds. @whitcopress Whoaza! Thanks! Nice to meet you! I began the other day to look for a version of the Hunchback that I saw on a plane ride and which had been enlivened by an oddball variety of musical pieces including some of the Planets, each of them played more than twice during the film, and I wanted to track it down. I was so captivated by your work on this one, that I stopped what I was doing and felt I had gained more than I set out to. Your style is peculiarly a wonderful throw-back,

This is a fantastic film i have seen it a couple of time....some day i hope to own it...also the saying where he is getting whipped is amazing and true

Mr. White you are AMAZING! Gorgeous, grand and utterly fantastic composition. Composers working in film today lack the sense of drama and beauty you so clearly express. I simply can't say enough. True Art! Thanks. . .

Actually, the tune I used was composed by Louis Bourgeois in 1551. It has been set many times to different texts over the years.
