Zerobridge: Malaysia Tour 2010

Mo and Din recently were invited to Malaysia to perform and present at the World Islamic Economic Forum's, WIEF, Market Place for the Creative Arts. Mo also presented the short films he made with street children in Morocco under his Fulbright project. Din and Mo, from the NYC based indie rock outfit Zerobridge, performed concerts across Kuala Lampur Malaysia including: Kuala Lampur Convention Center for WIEF, the International Islamic University Malaysia, Gido Studio's underground punk show with Malaysian punk band Corporate Youth, and Su Bong airport. We played to all kinds of youth from conservative muslim sisters in Hijab to punk rocker girls with mohawks.

It was an extraordinary time in which we united with young Muslim artists from across the world to exhibit the diversity and talents and depth that exists within the Muslim world. Art and Music, from whichever faith or ethnicity, are the key avenues towards expression, growth, and unity. There is no right or wrong in music and art, there is only the responsibility to express what you feel.

It was an inspiring tour that would not have been possible without the support of WIEF, the International Islamic University of Malaysia, Hani, Lina, Maryam, Moon, Zahrihya, Riz, Aan, Khair, Widaat, Aliou, Fazil, and many other. Zerobridge were honored to be included in WIEF arts forum w some amazing artists such as Reem and Iman, Hina, Nadia and Faraz, Bilal, Suu, Hafiz, and many others.
