The Galway 2040 symposium was held on Friday 5 November 2010 in GMIT, Galway. Presentations were made on a number of issues, including social inclusion, education, enterprise and innovation, marine and energy, dockland development, tourism, infrastructure and environment, agri/food, culture and research. The presentations were followed by discussion in an open dialogue with citizens, business owners and everyone who attended. The Initiative aims to engage the wider community and help create a vision for Galway in the future that that involves everyone.
