The invention is a replacement tailpiece (installation holes drilled to fit standard Telecasters) that installs string-slackening levers for use with the heel of your pick hand.

These levers act the same way as the pedals of a pedal steel guitar, allowing you to get frighteningly good pedal steel play out of an ordinary electric. Given how difficult pedal steel is to learn to play, the Multibender represents a gigantic advance for players, cutting weeks or months off of the time it normally takes to get competent at traditional pedal steel.

  • @pikn1 Pretty much, and I won't be surprised if FMIC does not sue. If Floyd Rose can get "Dress Rights" on that half baked looking tremolo and make it stick in court FMIC should have a field day. They will already sue you for using a Fender shaped headstock without a license fee. It's funny how they did not care until the copy guitars started being built to higher quality standards that their own floundering junk. The same goes for Gibson too!

  • same thing as a bigsby palm pedal made in the 50's /60's

  • My prayers have been answered. Im buying one!

  • wonderful, very clever device. Of course a german invented it. The man playing also helped design it. Very good musician, beautiful chords. Would like to see what he can do with an eight string lap.

  • hahah, LAME-ass interviewer xD
