Hi. I live in Cardiff, and was thinking about buing a kayak. can you tell me, do you need a licence to kayak on the river Taff, or any of the rivers in wales? Also would you need to have a licence to kayak on any of the reservoirs in the Brecon Beacons, if you are allowed to at all? thanks, Carl

I bought a nomad a couple of weeks ago. It really is great fun. Only been on my local river on it so far but it really is as good ad they say. You can get into really smart places to poke about, it's really stable, can fish from it too, go see places a lot of other people never see. Feels really good being in the water. Lash everything to the kayak. And I mean everything!

do you clean your boat/kayak after every outing as it could cause spread of invasive species such as killer shrimp, signal crayfish etc etc.
Only reason i ask is that in the cardiff bay area there has been a spread of invasive killer shrimp.

@rikaroony Yeah it a very good all round kayak, i have done some touring in it and camped over night so it carried all my gear no problem and ive been surfing quite alot too and it handles nicely in the waves. i think it's a great kayak if you want to try a bit of everything.
