Bowie is my "swimming" Greater Swiss Mountain Dog. Not a breed that always loves the water, Bowie has more fun in the water than he really should.

Aww that puppy was like, I WANNA PLAY and then the other dog was like, GRRR and the puppy ran away :(

It's obvious to me that you know the breed very well. I have a rescue pup who came from a litter that was turned in. She is supposed to be 3/4 rottie and 1/4 swissie. I think my Tallulah got a lot of the Swiss Mountain Dog characteristics, but I am no expert for sure. Could you possibly check out my blog and see what you think? He doesn't really HAVE to -- he swims well. It's more for situations where water is deep or I can't watch him, should he jump off a dock or out of a boat and not know how to get back to shore. One time I did have to dive in and rescue him after he jumped off a dock into a lake he didn't know well. He just kept swimming up to the end of the dock where he'd launched himself, and then sinking (he's got no body fat). He might have panicked and drowned. After that, vest all the time :)
