unfortunately being under powered and slipping on wet rails trying to pull a heavy load up a curved gradient is causing a lot of wear on the tyres of the engine and also on the head of the rail. You should use 2 locos when its wet if you have no sand blowers!!
You know that it's normal? I work in this train and all start is like this.
