The Last Lecture Series is an annual tradition at the University and provides a forum for distinguished professors to lecture to students as if it were their last time to do so.
Claudrena Harold, assistant professor of history and African-American Studies, delivers one of the two "last lectures" for 2009. She speaks to the power of love, drawing on inspiration from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and James Baldwin. The title of her talk is, "The Love Ethic in the Black Southern Humanist Tradition."
