@JacobDeadman Jews are not the only people who have their sons circumcised. Plenty of other people of different religious faiths have their son circumcised not because of their beliefs, but because it is more sanitary. And if you wait until a boy was old enough to make a decision about being circumcised, then it becomes a bigger deal. When an adult becomes circumcised they have to go through a painful operation done under anesthesia, but when its done for a baby, he will never remember it.
