Beautiful video the best combination one can get. Madam MSS and the doyen of the Mewati Gharana (specialize in singing in the praise of God). Panditji's accompanying artist is probably the very young Durga Jasraj. Madam's accompanying artist is probably her daughter Ms Vasantha?

This video is a national treasure. Amma simply looks divine, it is especially a gem among several of her performances, as her late husband was a devout Gandhian. She had performed for Gandhiji in his lifetime.

I'd like to make a slight correction. This isn't Gandhi Jayanti 1988 but the 40th anniversary of Gandhi Ji's assassination. This appears to be Birla House, where while going for a similar prayer service Gandhi Ji was shot on 30th January 1948 at around 5:17 in the evening. (20:25)
Subbulakshmi had the rare honour of performing live for Gandhi Ji himself at such an evening prayer meeting, only a few months before he was killed.
