@scottybarnhart You're so right. In an attempt to find my own sound, I'm studying Ray. I can dig what the modern guys are playing, but it's not swingin' like Ray.

That's just mean to be playin' all that bass; just a HUGE and complex tone, complete control of the instrument, and a thorough articulation of harmony. I mean, to play with such certitude and clarity is truly a site and sound to behold...Thanks!!!!

SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! i wish a lot of other young bassists paid closer attention to what he gave us......I sat three feet away from him at his last LA appearance and he was still swinging other cats into the ground.....unbelievably nice and beautiful cat to know as well.....
