Well, a dime doesn't go very far today, so can I ask you for a Dollar? For such a young boy, this dog sure has run up a medical bill! But he's worth it. Flash is being transported to me this weekend by volunteers. It seems that this wandering stray has a lot of people on his side.

Flash is a young, very happy purebred Border Collie who found himself lost and wandering the country roads of a rural Alabama town. He was found by a local resident who took him to the Chilton Co. Humane Society in Clanton in hopes that his owner would come looking for him. Noone ever came.:-( His photo was emailed to Border Collie rescues in the southeast, but noone had room. Thankfully a border collie lover stepped up to save him from possible euthanasia. It was noticed by the shelter staff that Flash was not putting weight on one of his back legs. He was sent to be examined by a rescue friendly vet in Birmingham , AL and the diagnosis was made - a torn ACL. This news did not deter the rescuer from taking him and plans were made to have his knee repaired. Now it is time to raise (.....) to cover the cost of his operation and vetting. .....

Flash is extremely people friendly and wants to be around his caretaker all the time. If you meet him, he will melt your heart.

Please help us help pay Flash's surgery bill by donating to his vetting fund. He is one fantastic boy and did great with the surgery. Thanks to his rescue team for saving his life. Lisa, Joe and the staff at CCHS, Dr. C. and staff who took care of him during his surgery, Suzanne, his transport coordinator, Dave and all the drivers of Saturday's run to Orlando and especially Gisele who will take care of him until his forever home is found. She said yes, even after his diagnosis. What a rescuer!!!

Please stay tuned to my youtube channel to receive regular updates on Flash's progress, and his future forever home through Pet Rescue by Judy.
