I'm amazed that you really think for one second that Panther was mistreated then broadcast all over the country. Especially since mistreating animals is illegal, why would Geico go to all that trouble, then break the law on national TV hence taking the risk of being shut down? @internetmatrixtest Of course it's not a pet. A domestic cat can grow just as annoyed with you or try to play rough...the difference being a panther is more likely to kill you.

@8x13Wolf - its not a pet. What happens when people think wild animals are "pets" they get taken by animal control, or killed. Regardless of what they eat while making profit for Geico, this commercial, is not funny. It is heart breaking.

@internetmatrixtest It definitely should be out in the wild, as should all panthers. However, that particular panther, if it was raised in captivity, is probably as tame as a housecat, being fed fresh meat offstage, and perfectly happy where it is. And if it isn't...well, that's a problem that needs to be remedied.
