  • does everything just bolt straight up?

  • Depends on a bunch of different things. An LT1 T56 will bolt up to a 1 pc RMS block with a stock LT1 flywheel. For a 2 pc RMS block you need a conversion flywheel.

  • Sick car. Sounds awesome. I have the XE262 in an '83 GMC Jimmy...it's got boat loads of torque.

P.S. I hope you've learned to shift better! (just giving you crap)

  • @KyleP133 Thanks man, it took me forever to realize that by RMS you meant Rear Main Seal lol

  • @mattcat234 Not really gonna work with an LS1 T56. You'll have to buy an adapter plate. I think McLeod could help you. But to do it simpler, trade it for a T56 out of an LT1 car. Then you need to get a new computer tune, new pedals, new console plate, cut the hole in the floor, cut a hole in the firewall for the new master cylinder, get a conversion crossmember. Then you gotta fix the speedo issue which is different depending on whether you have an electric or mechanical speedo.
