Yeah... This guy... is blind?

Taken from the movie The Book of Eli.

I loved the movie, but Denzel Washington isn't blind, and he doesn't act blind either. This all goes without mentioning the fact that if he was blinded by the flash, who taught him to read Braille afterwards?

Anyways, there's my stance in case anyone wants to try to tell me that he's blind. Watch the movie closely. Denzel Washington never gives me the impression that he is blind, yeah, sure God protects him, but it is taking it a little too far when he moves his eyes to look places and doesn't have any problem finding ambiguous stairs that even seeing people might trip over.

biggest problem i had with the clip is the fact that she couldn't see that big ass hole in the road until almost driving into it

Later on in the film, at the old couple's house, there is a sign that reads "Trespassers will be shot." We already know that Solara can't read, and when the old people ask Eli about the sign, he says "I didn't see it." These, along with the other verbal lines during the movie clearly show Eli is blind.

he is definitely blind. Stop being complete jerk off's, the motherfucker can't see. The whole point is that god supposedly uses his body as a tool to bring the bible to safety, god is guiding his aim, and his instincts as if he's controlling his body. Cut it out with this whole "He's not blind" BS, he is.

It's a braille bible. He would have had to know such BEFORE the war.

He didn't say anything about the big hole in the bridge either ... he didn't see it.

A person walking by FAITH would be less likely to let it fall into the hands of one that would use it for erroneous WORLD DOMINATION GOALS ... such as Caragin.

BUT, it is still a world domination book for a particular people.

you should watch the film again man..from the very start it gives you the impression that he is blind he trips over a few things at the begining and before he walks into the house you see his foot looking for the step..he only fights when other people make the first move so he knows where they are..

there is plenty of give always that he is blind , first clip he doesn't shoot untill cat moves and makes noise, he smells the lady's shampoo when she comes into the room , heightened sense of smell , in most the fight scenes he doesnt shoot until someone shoots at him so he knows where to shoot back, and it woul make no sense for him to become blind for no reason at the end of the movie cause he already lost the book so , he was blind the whole time , there is to many hints in the movie
