Testing the new Sony SX40. Mounted on a tripod, controls set to Easy in SP quality mode. Early morning before the sun is up. Birds are stopping by the trees outside my 5th floor window. There is a fountain near by!

  • I am not qualified to recommend any camera. I find it good for long shots of birds in the trees and on the fly shooting. It is not so good in low light but I am getting better results as I get used to the camera. Everything improves by using a tripod. I have not tried Movie Maker. Enjoy!

  • Thanks for the kind words. I also just bought the SX40 as a second camera to my HV 20, small world!
