This is the commentary video for my speedrun, Portal Done Pro. I, DemonStrate, figured I should do a video commentary, because a simple audio commentary would not explain enough over the duration of the speedrun. I try to show off everything that I did in the speedrun to:
1. Show that the glitches performed in Portal Done Pro do exist, and are possible to perform.
2. Play through the same route as the speedrun at a slower speed so you can see what is actually being done.

I attempted the edge glitch in the same place / level as you, only to find that the map looked somewhat different outside. I was able to get out of the map, and place portals using the peek-a-portal method, however as the map appears to have been changed.

Could it be possible valve has accepted that the edge glitch cannot be fixed, however they have edited the outside of the maps to make it un-useful?

@ricopicouk No. Nothing is different. I just loaded the save from this video. Nothing is changed at all. I was able to redo what I did in this video with ease.

Hey, I just watched all your portal videos, and now I am trying some of the glitches you show, specifically this edge/save glitch. I just started today, but no matter what I do, I can't get it to work. I get stuck in the edge and everything, and Chell appears above the orange portal there, covered in red light. When I quick save and load, Chell is still there. I shoot downwards, just like you did, but the portal appears in front of me.

Was this glitch fixed, or am I just an idiot?

Hey, were you able to do chamber 16 advanced with only 2 portals?

I was thinking maybe you could use an edge glitch or a physics deformation (like your chamber 13 run) but I don't really know.

I tried a lot of methods but there isn't a lot I can do. I did find out that a portal can be places low enough on the opening door that you can edge glitch through the bottom, though. (again, like 13)

Edge glitching is not the best solution in most cases for a low portals run.

dude, sick stuff and all, but learn how to edit videos man... Attempting the edge glitch hundreds of times and "woops I just saved" should just get edited out, or redo the thing properly so it's there in the first go lol.
