Could sewage hold the answer to the world's burgeoning water crisis? One important source of water for the people of Singapore is 'NeWater'. Aka treated sewage.
"We are always on the look out for different sources of water", explains Yap Kheng Guan from the Public Utilities board. The country imports half its water supply from Malaysia. But in four years, that contract will expire. Now Singapore is experimenting with unorthodox water supplies, like treated sewage. As one woman boasts; "I have been drinking it every day and I'm still alive".

  • Malaysia tries to cut our water, Indonesia bans sale of sand to SG, Thailand outlaws the sale of its national telecom co. that took place eons ago...and what did we become? The largest Islamic banking centre in Asia, an important financial centre to the WORLD, a GDP that puts them to shame, a strong dollar that buys what their countrymen cannot afford and an unrelentless persuit of justice, equality and meritocracy. Give yourself a pat Singaporeans!

  • @cygnetomega LOL you suck fucking piece of black shit.

  • @allude8 you're ignoring my point. Water needs to regain energy/be irradiated clean by sub-orbital cosmic rays by not being taken from the sewer. Evaporate, travel round the globe as a cloud or ice crystal, buffet with planet energy a few times then it becomes drinkable. It's not comparable to cum but NeWater is nonsense where energy theory is concerned..

  • Singapore itself is racist. They get Chinese to come over to our land and started to make the country so cheena. That evil man must go.

  • @cygnetomega all water has to come from some origin.

People in Sg are free to leave. People like you.

Singaporean that left Sg during the 70s and 80s actually return.

Such people are shameless and a joke to us.

Why continue to check out about Sg and post negative comment ?

Cost of treatment is RM2.90 / 100 gal. Sg sell 50 sen to Malaysia. Therefore, Sg actually subsidise to My. Malaysia ask for more, Sg agreed (always).

Many Singaporean realised that Malaysian did not know about such subsidy. Why ?

Johore rivers are use as dumping ground. Part of those garbage floats to Sg at all time.

Johore's water is not that clean. Certain percentage of rivers in Johore had dried up.

The price was suggested by Dr M to be 60 sen. LKY said 45 sen since facilities are developed and operated by Sg. Both agreed. But the Malaysian responded very angrily. Some suggested RM 8.00, refering to China to HK water supply. Now become RM6.50.

  • Even the astronauts are recycling their own sweat and urine into drinkable water, so I feel there is nothing wrong with drinking properly treated sewage water as it will be a more sustainable way of life in the long term.
