@kristenwilson10: you have to manually give the coaster a headstart to get it up to speed -- either by pulling it back up a few twists before the motor or else lifting it up and over the initial rocket nose. we had the same problem until we figured that out.

Finished building this today and it does not work. Doesn't get enough speed to get to the top. Did you all have any trouble with this?

@kristenwilson10 Sorry for the late response! We actually didn't have any problems with it (and I believe we were using rechargeables at the time) except when he had build flaws in it - like he had to correct a few pieces as they were angled funny or slightly in the wrong position).

This video was shot in the dark so you could see the car streaking about all lit up. And I have to apologize for mumbling through the first part - I had a flosser in my mouth when I started shooting (until my wife took it out of my mouth in the middle there).
