Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou, along with national security officials, has decided to let the Dalai Lama visit the island from August 31 to September 3.

Ma had thrown out the idea of a 2009 visit by the Tibetan spiritual leader last year... over fears of upsetting trade relations with Beijing.

I do agree with this, however the nature of KMT (Ma) is to not to emphasized on Taiwan alone, so Ma's got the hot seat that no matter how he handles it, he's going to be criticized. However, Ma's handling of opening the trade route although, seems like a betrayal to the Taiwan locals, it had brought the dead/slow economy back from the dead. Because of this, people are able to put food on the table. So, nationalism, or stability?

  • Ma should think about Taiwanese, not about chinese .

If Ma go too close to chinese(CCP) than , Ma will have to regret latter, like Tibetans.

CCP policy is feed a chocolate in your mouth and than pierce your heart with a long knife.

  • I am glad that MA still have little bit of compassion for his people (Taiwanese) by inviting H.H.the Dalai Lama to Taiwan to bless the victims.

  • Good and lucky to all Taiwanese people!!

    Buddha cheno....!!!
