A two part activity on asthma action plans from the Respiratory and Allergic Disease Foundation. Dr. Alan Goldsobel discusses asthma action plans and we meet a patient, Rachel, who describes her action plan to us.
This activity is part of RAD's "Snapshots for Success" series, which can be found at www.rad-foundation.org. This was made possible through an educational grant from Genentech/Novartis.
Rachel has asthma - cat allergy - and a number of medications including asthma inhalers, oral antihistamines, and a plan. She wakes with nighttime asthma.
This video describes how quality medical care can help a patient recognize that they have poor asthma control, and can partner with their clinician to take control of asthma.

I like the video the asthma seems to work for her everyone should have a plan. Doctors should make having a plan part of the treatment.
