I thin it's the latter. The Clippers have always been a 2nd rate operation so they figured no harm in him doing his whole Clipper Darrel shtick. Now that the Clippers are title contenders they think oh he can't be profiting off of our name. I'm a die hard Clippers fan ,but the front office is a toolshed. Fortuntly the players are all great guys and love Darrel so they've got his back. I think it will all turn out ok.

I've known him for a bit and he's such a big fan I remember he'd always come to the softball games in his suit and for the clippers to do that is really dirty .

i've heard two stories about Clipper darrel idk which one is true. First is that Clipper darrel wanted to get paid more or get paid for advertising the Clippers and thats why the Clippers told him to fuck off, second is that the Clippers dont want him using the name Clipper Darrel and told him to fuck off. Idk which one is the true story but if the Clippers are doing him dirty like that after being a fan for so long then thats pretty fk'd up.

when clippers are losing, he is still there. now they are winning and have the potential to win the championship ring, the organization betrayed him..... so sad that the man supported the team for 18 years just because he is using the name clipper darrell for promotional purposes? clippers organization should be ashamed for this
